XPR Network Block Producer Code of Conduct

Introduction

This Code of Conduct establishes a set of guidelines and principles for Block Producers (BPs) on the XPR Network. The purpose of this document is to promote ethical behavior, professionalism, and transparency within the XPR Network community. By adhering to this code, BPs contribute to the stability, security, and growth of the network, fostering a healthy ecosystem for all participants.

1 Compliance with Legal and Regulatory Frameworks

1.1. BPs shall comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and rules in their respective jurisdictions.

1.2. BPs shall not engage in any illegal or unethical activities, such as money laundering, tax evasion, or fraud.

2 Network Security and Performance:

2.1. BPs shall maintain adequate infrastructure and resources to support the XPR Network effectively.

2.2. BPs shall implement and maintain appropriate security measures to protect their nodes and
private keys.

2.3. BPs shall regularly update their software to the latest stable version of Antelope (as agreed by the consortium or core developer) to ensure optimal performance and security.

2.4. BPs shall actively monitor and address potential threats to the network and promptly report any security vulnerabilities to the consortium via email (consortium@xprnetwork.org) and the XPR Network Validators Telegram Channel (https://t.me/XPRNetwork)

2.5. BPs shall always maintain a Producer and basic API node.

2.6. BPs in the top 30 by rank shall maintain a testnet Producer/API node.2.7 . BPs may follow and implement any urgent and critical security measures recommended by the XPR Network Consortium.

3 Transparency and Accountability

3.1. BPs shall provide accurate, up-to-date, and transparent information about their identity, location, and organizational structure.

3.2. BPs shall disclose any affiliations, partnerships, or conflicts of interest that may influence their decision-making as a block producer.

3.3. BPs shall maintain clear and accessible communication channels for stakeholders and other members of the XPR Network community.

3.4. BPs shall notify the XPR Network Consortium if there is any security breach, suspected breach or potential breach thay may significantly impact XPR Network community.

4 Participation and Governance

4.0. XPR Network Consortium is the governance body of the Block Producers and Proposals on the XPR Network.

4.1. BPs shall actively participate in the governance of the XPR Network, including voting on proposals and contributing to discussions.

4.2. BPs shall consider the best interests of the entire XPR Network ecosystem when making decisions or participating in governance activities.

4.3. BPs shall engage with the community in a respectful and constructive manner, fostering collaboration and inclusivity.

5 Fair Competition and Anti-Collusion

5.1. BPs shall not engage in any form of collusion, price-fixing, or other anti-competitive practices.
5.2. BPs shall not manipulate or attempt to manipulate the BP voting process, including through the use of bribes, threats, or deceptive practices.

5.3. BPs shall not use their position or community to undermine other BPs or engage in malicious activities aimed at damaging the reputation of XPR Network, the core developer Metallicus or other BPs.

6 Community Support and Education

6.1. BPs shall actively contribute to the growth and development of the XPR Network ecosystem by providing educational resources, technical support, and mentorship.

6.2. BPs shall support and promote community initiatives, projects, and events that align with the vision and goals of the XPR Network.

6.3. BPs shall encourage diversity and inclusion within the XPR Network community.

6.4. BPs shall not use their communities to foster negative attitudes and sentiment around XPR Network, other BP’s, or the core developer, Metallicus.

7 Enforcement and Reporting

7.1. BPs shall be responsible for monitoring and ensuring their own compliance with this Code of Conduct.

7.2. BPs shall report any violations of this Code of Conduct to the appropriate governance body, either through public channels or confidentially, as appropriate.

7.3. Failure to adhere to this Code of Conduct may result in penalties or removal from the list of active BPs, as determined by the XPR Network Consortium.

By signing this Code of Conduct, RockeroneBP, as a Block Producer, attest commiting to

upholding these principles moving forward.If you choose not to sign this Code of Conduct, it may be construed that you do not have the best interests of the XPR Network in mind. This could potentially affect your standing within the community and may impact your role as a Block Producer.


Non-compliance with this Code of Conduct may subject to a review by the XPR Network Consortium. Repeated or severe violations could potentially lead to a vote among Consortium members about RockeroneBP removal from the XPR Network network.


By adhering to this Code of Conduct, Block Producers on the XPR Network commit to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and transparency, thereby fostering a healthy and thriving ecosystem for all stakeholders.
